the dark rooming (a tonal drawing written in poetic form)

the dark rooming

                                                               and this . . .
                                                                                                    it must be a room
                                                                                              but no walls they appear
                                                                                          away             there off yonder
!up close all up around me!right here
                                                                                              is there a door somewhere
with a knob and a key
and a light to turn on
to make it so i can see
                                                                                            who this somebody else other
‘sides the one i call me

so i just stay on like this
‘cause it easy to do
keep everything it the same
like how i been used to
and just so long as it stay dark
wont be no need that i see
or that i worry ‘bout who running
                     in here                               alone
                          ‘side of me
